We’re Getting a MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. Sequel!
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. hit theaters in 2015 and although it was met with mediocre reviews, it developed a well-earned fan base, which it deserves. I for one loved how fun and stylized it was so with the film ending on a set up for a sequel, I’ve been waiting for this news. I’m proud to report that Armie Hammer has confirmed a sequel is in development!
While doing press for his upcoming film, Free Fire, Hammer was asked about the status of the film and he had this to say,
“I called Lionel Wigram, the producer of the movie, and he and Guy produced it and wrote it all together. I was like,
“Dude, what’s the deal? I get asked about this sh*t all the time. Can you just write a sequel?”
He was like,
“You know what? Yeah, f**k it, I’ll do it. Sure, I’ll write a sequel.”
I was like,
“If you write one, I’m sure we can get one made, so who knows?”
Today is the first day I’ve actually told anyone that story. I only told one other person who asked. Apparently, the sequel is being written right now. No pressure, Lionel!”
While the sequel is not as far along as one would have hoped, it’s still being made. I will be there opening night! The Man From U.N.C.L.E. starred Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debicki, and Hugh Grant. It was directed by Guy Ritchie and I hope and pray we get a sequel. Check it out!
