Marvel Studios premiered the second theatrical trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night.

Trailer #2 is the latest look at the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, following October’s special teaser, December’s theatrical trailer debut, an extended TV spot that debuted during the Super Bowl and the “You’re Welcome” TV spot released earlier in February.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 recently tested higher than any Marvel Studios movie in the company’s nine-year history during internal test screenings, being awarded an unprecedented score of a perfect 100. The Guardians will finally connect with the linked Marvel Cinematic Universe come Avengers: Infinity War next summer, with a recently released teaser video offering a brief glimpse at the involvement of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) in the third Avengers film.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

Two months after Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) has stepped up as leader of the Guardians. Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) will team with Yondu (Michael Rooker), Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) to take on a new galactic threat as they unravel the mystery of Star-Lord’s father, Ego (Kurt Russell). Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens May 5th.
