“Three’s Company” Movie Is In Development
Reportedly, New Line Cinema is developing a Three’s Company film. Screenwriters Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein are signed on to pen this screenplay. This television series adaptation will be set during the 1970s. The original television show, Three’s Company, which starred John Ritter, Joyce DeWitt, and Suzanne Somers, revolved around, “The misadventures of two women and one man living in one apartment and their neighbors.”
The fact that Kohn and Silverstein (Never Been Kissed) are co-writing New Line Cinema’s Three’s Company is a mixed bag. Although He’s Just Not That Into You was serviceable, Valentine’s Day, The Vow, and How to Be Single were dull, formulaic romantic comedies. Due to the fact that none of their films received positive ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, Three’s Company is likely to suffer the same fate. As for audience reaction, their highest-rated film, The Vow, has a 6.8 IMDb average user rating while their lowest-rated film, Valentine’s Day, has a 5.7 IMDb average user rating. Consequently, Three’s Company will likely receive a similar fan reaction.
