THE WALKING DEAD: JOURNEY SO FAR Two-Hour Retrospective Special
The Walking Dead will change forever when it returns for its season seven premiere October 23rd, with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) executing at least one of eleven cast members in order to establish the new world order. AMC will air a two-hour retrospective special titled The Walking Dead: Journey So Far that will recap the entire series leading up to that pivotal moment with Negan and the lineup, with the special featuring interviews with key cast and executive producers along with clips from the most pivotal moments in series history.
“Season by season, from the moment Rick wakes up in the hospital (as told by Andrew Lincoln), all the way to the excruciating first swing of Negan’s bat (told by Jeffery Dean Morgan and others in the lineup), the story of “The Walking Dead” will be told by those who have lived it,” reads AMC’s description of the special. “‘The Walking Dead: Journey So Far‘” gives viewers who have never seen an episode of “The Walking Dead” a chance to get all caught up on the plot, characters, locations, and unique terminology of the series as well as providing fans who‘ve never missed a moment with fresh interviews with the series’ producers and their favorite actors as part of an exciting refresher course that will further whet their appetite for the new season.”
The Walking Dead: Journey So Far airs from 9-11 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16th. The recap special is just one of the many ways AMC will ring in the highly anticipated new season, with a 90-minute Talking Dead special – featuring 12 major cast members and executive producers live with 2,000 fans – immediately following the premiere of The Walking Dead season seven on Sunday, October 23rd on AMC.
