THE WALKING DEAD 7.11 Sneak Peek (Video)
Spoilers for The Walking Dead.
After a tense handing over of goods with the Saviors, Richard convinces Daryl to venture into the woods and make a spring attack on a passing Savior convoy. The plan, says Richard, is to leave a bloody mess for investigating Saviors to follow back to a loner on the fringe of the Kingdom, someone King Ezekiel cares about — that someone being Carol — in order to force Ezekiel into accepting Rick’s proposal to come together and wage war against Negan and the Saviors. After learning the identity of Richard’s proposed scapegoat, Daryl makes a simple threat: anything happens to Carol, and I’ll kill you.
Meanwhile, Rick, Michonne, Aaron, Rosita and Tara are surrounded by the junkyard community, the Scavengers. Their leader, Jadis, presents herself and forces Rick into a gladiatorial battle against a spiked Walker. Rick emerges bloodied and limping but successful, striking a deal with Jadis. Bring her community guns, lots of them, and they’ll fight against Negan and the Saviors. “We take. We don’t bother,” says Jadis. They’re vultures — letting others do the work and swooping in to take the remains. Alexandria and the Hilltop are clearly desperate in their search to grow numbers against the massive army that is the Saviors, but we shouldn’t expect the Scavengers and their unfortunate haircuts to stick to their side of the deal.
Daryl appears on Carol’s doorstep. “Why’d you go?” he asks, like a child finally getting to question a parent who walked out. If anything happened to anyone she cares about, says Carol, she would have to fight. She would have to kill. And then there would be nothing left of her. A tearful Carol probes for information. “Is everybody okay?” Daryl lies, telling her everyone back home is all right. He leaves, telling her to look out for herself. In the morning, Daryl leaves the Kingdom — he’s off to the Hilltop.
In addition to the promo for 7.11, AMC has released a sneak peek look at “Hostiles and Calamities,” which looks to be a Negan/Dwight/Eugene-centric episode:
