Scarlett Johansson and Jonah Hill might join “Hail Caesar!”
Variety has learned that Scarlett Johansson (“Lucy”) and Jonah Hill (“The Wolf of Wall Street”) are in talks to join the Coen brother’s drama “Hail Caesar!.”
If they are signed on they would join the already cast Josh Brolin (“Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”), George Clooney (“O’ Brother Where Art Thou?”) and Channing Tatum (“Foxcatcher”).
Tilda Swinton (“Snowpiercer”) and Ralph Fiennes (“Harry Potter”) are also in negotiations to join the project.
The story follows a Hollywood fixer (Brolin) in the 1950s who is working to keep a studio’s stars in line. Johansson will play an actress who suddenly becomes pregnant as her film is about to go into production.
It’s a good fit, since Johansson announced in March that she was pregnant.
This is becoming a who’s who of a film as there is so much A-list talent attached that there is almost no way it could possibly fail at the box office.
Hopefully Tatum and Hill will have scenes together as there’s no denying their chemistry.
