Sacha Baron Cohen has found a new comedy

Variety is reporting that, since dropping out of the Freddie Mercury biopic, Sacha Baron Cohen (“Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”) has joined a spy comedy called “Grimsby.”

Hit-or-miss director Louis Leterrier (“Now You See Me”) will helm the comedy, and it will follow a British black ops agent who is forced to go on the run with his long-lost brother, who is a northern English soccer hooligan.

No word yet on which brother Cohen will play, but if I had to guess it would be the latter with someone more serious and bad-ass (a la Daniel Craig) in the other role.

Cohen is producing, and was directly involved in choosing Leterrier to helm the film, so it’s good to know that the two at least share the same vision. ZZZ5
