RIDE WITH NORMAN REEDUS: New AMC Reality Series
AMC, best known for the hit zombie drama series The Walking Dead, has announced a new non-fiction series, debuting in 2016. Starring Norman Reedus – who portrays fan-favorite character and biker Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead – Ride with Norman Reedus follows the actor and biker-enthusiast as he takes audiences on a ride on the open road, exploring local motorcycle culture and history. Along the way, Reedus and fans can celebrate some of the best and brightest motorcycle collectors, mechanics, and motorcycle craftsmen around the United States.
Six one-hour episodes will debut at a currently undetermined time in 2016, with each episode beginning in a different city. Accompanied by varying guests – fellow actors, musicians, friends, or local chopper fanatics – Reedus will travel to new destinations; via motorcycle, of course. On their journeys, Reedus and a pal will stop at various locales, whether it be a custom bike shop, a tattoo parlor, a collector’s warehouse, or a roadside smokehouse – with unplanned detours and unforeseen dips and turns. Ride with Norman Reedus will also showcase differing types of motorcycles every week, showing off vintage bikes, minis, and cruisers. The series’ release date is currently unannounced, but fans can travel around the country with Norman Reedus sometime in 2016.
And no, The Walking Dead fans, this doesn’t mean that Reedus’ Daryl Dixon will perish on The Walking Dead. A six-episode reality mini-series could have easily been shot on Reedus’ break from the hit zombie series, now in its sixth season. The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 pm on AMC.
