#RefsRaiseIt July & August 2017: SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, PowerMyLearning
For the month of July, Red Carpet Refs’ charitable fundraising campaign will benefit PowerMyLearning, a national non-profit organization committed to ensuring that all children are able to power their learning through a combination of technology and the people who matter most to their success – parents and teachers. Their mission is to help students in low-income communities, together with their teachers and families, harness the power of digital learning to improve educational outcomes.
“We focus on using technology not to replace anyone, but rather to enhance the key interactions among teachers, parents, and students. When the key interactions are properly supported, they propel the two cycles that are most critical for student learning: the Personalized Instruction cycle and the Student-Driven Learning cycle,” reads their official mission. “Our work has demonstrated impact on student achievement and love of learning; teacher instructional practices; and parental confidence. PowerMyLearning partner schools show greater improvement in academic proficiency compared to schools with similar profiles.”
Each month, Red Carpet Refs encourages donations made directly to the charity highlighted for that month. Red Carpet Refs does not accept nor handle any of your donation — we tell you how you can help, direct you to a refutable, accredited charity, and encourage you to donate directly. Submit your proof of donation to us on Twitter or Facebook and we’ll enter you to win themed prizes. For the month of July, donate to PowerMyLearning and we’ll enter you to win Spider-Man: Homecoming prizes.
