GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Ride Soundtrack List Revealed (California)

When the Guardians of the Galaxy come to Disney California Adventure Park this summer, they’ll have your favorite hits as a soundtrack — obviously.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
John Dennis, executive creative director of music at Walt Disney Imagineering, revealed the Awesome Mix-inspired soundtrack for the ride, which will include The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” (as heard in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie). The ride, which will feature multiple, randomized storylines (more excuses to ride it, get back in line, and go again!), will rock a “playlist” that includes Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,”  Parliament’s “Give Up the Funk,” Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild,” The Edgar Winters Group’s “Free Ride,” and Elvis Presley’s “Burning Love.”

Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 writer and director James Gunn, Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige, and composer Tyler Bates all helped bring the ride to life. Disney’s first Marvel-inspired theme park attraction on the west coast, Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout! is part of the Disneyland Resort’s limited-time Summer of Heroes event, kicking off May 27th. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5th.
