DEADPOOL Animated Series Heading to FXX

Looks like Fox is going all in on Deadpool. We all saw the big screen version of Deadpool, and of course, we all loved it. But now the Merc with a Mouth is infiltrating small screens everywhere on FXX. Oh, and did we mention that Atlanta creator and star Donald Glover will be working on the new Marvel series? And he won’t be the only Glover as well. His brother Stephen Glover, who is a writer on Atlanta, is said to be working alongside Donald.

The newly announced series is set to come out next year with a 10-episode series order. The Glover brothers will not only be the showrunners, but they are said to be executive producers and writers for the new series. Alongside the brothers will be Marvel Television’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory. And Loeb seems very excited about it:

“How much more fun could this be? Deadpool, Donald and FX – the perfect fit for the Merc with the Mouth,” …We’re thrilled that our relationship with FX that started with ‘Legion’ continues with what is sure to be a groundbreaking show in adult animation.”

Hey, we’re all excited over here, we got Donald Glover, Marvel, FXX, “adult animation”, and most importantly Deadpool. Still, the question remains: who’s gonna voice Deadpool? It’ll be hard to live up to Ryan Reynolds portrayal of the eclectic character but someone has gotta do the job. And hey, maybe Reynolds might voice him. There’s always a chance…
