Danai Gurira to Reprise BLACK PANTHER Role in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR
The Walking Dead actress will make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut with Black Panther in February before taking part in Avengers: Infinity War, in theaters May 2018.
Danai Gurira is the latest name to take part in Marvel Studios’ massive Avengers threequel, Avengers: Infinity War, Deadline reveals. Gurira will reprise her role as Okoye, part of King T’Challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) Dora Milaje — a personal security team comprised of Wakanda’s most ferocious female warriors. Marvel offered fans their first look at Black Panther last week, with the teaser trailer quickly dominating social media.
Boseman began shooting for Avengers: Infinity War last week, posting a behind-the-scenes video from the set and posting a selfie with co-star Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner / the Hulk). Gurira can next be seen in Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez on Me, in theaters Friday, before returning as zombie slayer Michonne in season eight of The Walking Dead, returning to AMC in October. Avengers: Infinity War opens May 4th, 2018.
