Arnold Schwarzenegger Returning in James Cameron Produced TERMINATOR
He said he’ll be back.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, best known for his iconic role as the former killing machine the Terminator, will reprise the role in a new James Cameron produced Terminator film. While speaking to ScreenDaily, Schwarzenegger confirmed the project “is moving forward” and that he “will be in the movie.” Cameron, Schwarzenegger said, “has some good ideas of how to continue with the franchise.”
Cameron, who wrote and directed the first two Terminator films, is currently hard at work tackling four consecutive Avatar sequels, currently scheduled to hit theaters in December 2020, 2021, 2024 and 2025. Early last year, Paramount removed the sequel to Terminator Genisys from its release schedule after originally setting the film for a May 19th, 2017 release date.
In March this year, rumors suggested Paramount is near ready to announce some kind of Terminator reboot, one that could have ties to the original series (per Cameron and Schwarzenegger’s involvement).
