Alona Tal and Abbey Lee Eyed To Portray Black Canary In “Justice League”
According to Latino Review, Black Canary will be in one or both of the Justice League films being directed by Zack Snyder. Both Abbey Lee, who is known for her role in Mad Max: Fury Road, and Alona Tal, who is known for her role in CW’s Supernatural, are both being eyed to portray Black Canary, a.k.a. Dinah Drake Lance, on the big screen alongside: Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Henry Cavil’s Superman, Ezra Miller’s The Flash, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, and more.
It is also rumored that Black Canary may be featured in a Birds of Prey film. However, given that the likelihood of such a project being okayed by Warner Bros. depends on how the character is received in The Justice League Part One, this is far from set in stone. Also, because most of the general public has not seen Caity Lotz and Katie Cassidy portrayed Black Canary on CW’s Arrow, they are unaware of who this character is and what her abilities are.
Given that audience still have yet to see Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman, it is difficult to anticipate either of the Justice League films being helmed by Zack Snyder yet. That being said, the fact that Warner Bros. is looking to add more female heroes to the mix is promisingly progressive. The Justice League Part One, which was written by the screenwriter of Argo, Chris Terrio, is set to debut on November 17th, 2017.
Do you hope that Alona Tal or Abbey Lee portray Black Canary in The Justice League Part One?
